FABULOUS LEGACY ART – sponsored by Bourne Town Council

Feb, 2025 | News

A series of Legacy Art projects have been commissioned in conjunction with the WORTH200 Celebrations.

Bourne Town Council have enabled our local artists to create 3 projects that will bring the October celebration to life and will be available in the lead up and for many years beyond.

Lucie Lawson with assistance from Roadphone, will be creating a series of silhouettes, similar to the Tommie’s that grace Bourne ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

Nicola McLean will be forming a full-size willow sculpture crinoline lady, a perfect foil for our creative embellishments.

Francessca Jay is recreating the House of Worth famous Peacock Dress in ceramic mosaic, with help from the public. The piece to be displayed around the town before it reaches its final resting place in Wake House.

We are very grateful to Bourne Town Council for their full support, and the grant they have given. Watch this space for more details.
