Folkingham Past and Present History Group

Folkingham Past and Present History Group have launched a new website. Including fabulous photographs from the published book on Folkingham by Martin Smith, the site is a feast for the eyes. Martin has left no stone unturned in his research into the Village History, and the result is a stunning book with many previously unseen images and photographs and stories never before told.

Spalding Gentlemans Society

Welcome to this wonderful place

The Spalding Gentlemen’s Society, one of the oldest learned societies in the Kingdom and the earliest provincial association for the encouragement of antiquarianism, was founded by Maurice Johnson (1688-1755), “The Antiquary”, of Ayscoughfee Hall, Spalding.

The Museum will close for buildings works on Saturday, 28 September 2024. We invite everyone to visit us at Ayscoughfee Hall, 10:30-4, Wednesday to Sunday.

West Deeping Heritage Group

The group started meeting in November 2010, and after several well-attended sessions, a small committee was set up, a formal constitution was adopted and a bank account was opened.

West Deeping Heritage Group’s purpose is “To encourage a sense of community and an interest in our heritage, to hand on to future generations”

The Group holds a programme of Talks throughout the winter months. See website for details.

Deepings Heritage

Deepings Heritage was formed in 1989 by a group of enthusiasts who wished to promote interest in the historical character of the Deepings, to protect its buildings and natural environment.

“WE CARE ABOUT THE PAST … AND THE PRESENT … FOR THE SAKE OF THE FUTURE”

The Group hold monthly meetings with speakers (see events section), archive Local History, publish books on local topics, exhibit and display around the area. To find out more
