Worth 200, Bicentenary Celebrations of Charles Frederick Worth

The Aveland History Group are delighted to have been asked to contribute to the celebrations of Charles Worth’s 200th birthday in October 2025, which will take place throughout his hometown of Bourne.

There will be activities, events and opportunities for all ages running through from now until we approach his birthday weekend on 11th/12th October 2025.

We’ll be incorporating an historical viewpoint alongside more modern themes from the world of fashion, mirroring the innovations that Charles himself brought to the world of couture and bringing his story to life in a current context.
